It’s official, the Philippines will have a rare long weekend at the end of August. The President declared (through Proclamation no. 234)  August 30, 2011 as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr.

Work will resume on Wednesday (August 31), after National Heroes Day (August 29) and Eid’l Fitr (August 30).
