28 areas in Luzon were placed under Storm Signal No. 1 due to Tropical Storm Juaning, and as of 11 a.m Tuesday advisory PAGASA said at least six areas were placed under Storm Signal No. 2 due to Juaning.
As of 10 a.m., PAGASA also said Juaning was estimated at 100 km northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte, packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
Juaning was moving west northwest at 19 kph and is expected to be 60 km west of Dagupan City Wednesday morning; and 380 km west-northwest of Laoag City Thursday morning.

Classes have been suspended in some Metro Manila areas. Pre-school, elementary, and high school classes in all private and public schools in Metro Manila and some nearby cities and provinces are suspended Friday, the Department of Education (DepEd) said. They announced the suspension of classes as torrential rains battered many parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, brought about by tropical storm Falcon.
As the DepEd announcement did not cover the tertiary level, several colleges and universities have announced the suspension of their respective classes, upon the announcement of Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Arellano University, La Consolacion College – Pasig, Centro Escolar University – Makati, Trinity University of Asia and STI College – Caloocan has suspended their respective classes.
The DepEd also announced in its Twitter account that all classes in pre-school, elementary, and high school in, Dasmarinas, Rosario, Bacoor, Cavite City in Cavite are suspended Friday.
Classes in public and private preschool, elementary, and high schools in Angono, Cainta, Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Calamba City, Bulacan, Antipolo City, Malolos City, Subic, Zambales, Bataan, and Pangasinan are also suspended on Friday.
