Just a few days left until school time officially kicks off. Kids are somewhere in between being sad that summer vacation will end but also excited because they will be with their friends once again. And some kids will feel nervous or a little scared because of all the new things that they will encounter on the first day of school. May it be a new teacher, a new classmate, or (for others) an entirely new school with new teachers and new classmates, without the comfort of old acquaintances. The first day is usually the hardest, so just in case, kids might try to follow these tips to help them get through the first day of class.
On the first day, teachers usually kick off their class with an introduction. They will be introducing themselves, and then give students expectations on what the teacher has in store for them for the whole year. They would also usually go over school policies, so be sure to listen if you are new to the school. After which, some would hold a get-to-know each other activity to encourage positive healthy dynamics within the classroom. Make the first move, you’d be glad you made a new friend.
Start the school year on a good note. Feel good and make the day special by wearing your favorite new clothes and eating your favorite breakfast/lunch. Next, if you are new, this should be the perfect time to get oriented as you will not be so busy doing school work on the first day of class. Learn your way around school. Familiarize with the different locations of the school’s facilities.
But if all else fails and at the end of the day you just plain old hated school, try to give some time for things to just sort themselves out. Once you know your way around school and get adjusted to environment, you’d probably feel better. If not, try talking to your parents, and to the school councilor.

Back to school season is often an exciting time for children; but let’s face it that as parents, it is one of the most stressful seasons of the year. Going through finances, making sure that there will be an alloted budget for their kid’s tuition fee(s), school uniforms, school supplies, allowances, and whatnot.
With a few days left before the first day of school, parents should be prepared. One of the most overlooked but one of the most, if not the most important part of being prepared for school season is that first, the parents should be honest and try to make their children understand when it comes to budget. Honestly explain to the child when it comes to budget beforehand, so as later they will not feel that their parents are just being cheapskates.
From then on you can proceed with planning on how you can save and extend your budget on school uniforms and supplies.

Divisoria is considered as the Mecca of great budget finds. But as such, it is expected that it will be flooded with buyers especially in seasons like Christmas, or before the start of school. Suffice to say, Divisoria is not for everyone. Following the golden rule of equivalent exchange, one trades the convenience of purchasing from the mall at a higher price to the heat, sweat, dangers from pickpockets, and other elements that made Divisoria ever so popular.
But there is always somewhere in between where buyers can get lower prices, although not as admittedly cheap as those in Divisoria, yet still enjoy the comforts and security of shopping in a mall. Some of these hassle-free budget shops include the American Bazaar and Japan Home Center where you can find items, not only school supplies, costing only 66 or 88 Php.

In the Philippines, Divisoria is synonymous with budget finds, especially when purchasing in bulk. So its not surprising that this coming school opening season, people will be flocking to Divisoria looking for great deals on school supplies. But mind you, Divisoria is a huge place, and packed with people. Try hovering around the New Divisoria Mall, along Tabora St. or along Ylaya St. Or for those who can’t stand the heat, better stick to Tutuban Mall or Mall 168 where there is air conditioning. The best stuff to purchase in Divisoria are paper supplies, pencils, and other school items which can be bought in bulk so that you could haggle for a much higher discount.
