911

September 11, 2011 marks the tenth year since the 9/11 attacks. On that day, 19-al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four passenger planes and then proceeded to intentionally crashing it into different strategic locations in the United States of America.

Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, totally decimating it. The third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, was the only plane that did not reach its destination when passengers attempted to take control of the said plane. It crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, never reaching its target which was Washington D.C.

This coordinated suicide attacks is one of the worst in the history of America, and perhaps around the world. 10 years have passed, and al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden has been elimited, yet still the wounds remain fresh from those who were directly affected by this tragedy.
