Flash floods and landslides that may be triggered by two low-pressure areas (LPAs) threaten parts of northern Luzon.

PAGASA said, as of  8 am today, The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 190 km West of Laoag City (18.0°N, 118.5°E). Another Low Pressure Area was at 410 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes(23.3°N, 125.5°E).These low pressure systems are part of the monsoon trough that is affecting Luzon and Visayas.

These weather systems are expected to bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Luzon and Visayas becoming widespread rains over Northern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. PAGASA said in their website.
